I think magic is a process & is mostly art
+ not science. I think that even failed magical workings leave a trace in the world
And manifest even if it’s the opposite of what you want to happen.

In my book magic is a continuous & not discrete + is somewhat quantitative and somewhat
Qualitative: like in chemistry you need
A basic amount of energy to start a reaction

So in magic you need authority/power/magnetism to make a magical process start.

But the direction of the energy & its type to me is more important for desired manifestation

On the other hand you need a relationship with the spirits: forcing/threatening them can work in the short term but they’ll find a way to get even.

Also layering your workings is essential: in my life 1 entity just doesn’t deliver fast/reliably enough

What kind of experiences did you have with magic & what’s essential v. Redundant for success?
