So I am not sure if I should post it in the humour section, but this project was my original creation. So for Year 10's Tourism class, we were required to design a theme park. My theme park is based off the "Internet", and is called Memetopia . I sadly no longer have the physical map I drew for the theme park, that was lost in history... If you are familiar with the internet culture 10 years ago then everything would make more sense?
--
The attraction consists of three regions that make up Memetopia. “Troll Kingdom “,“The Cat Nomads” and “Internellica”. Each solely based on sub-themes under the umbrella term of Internet memes. Troll Kingdom being based on Rage Comics, which is a short web comic with pre-made faces that are about real-life experiences and humor. “The Cat Nomads” are based on cats which are classified as “icons” of the internet and lastly, “Internellica” being based on internet culture.
So each region in the park tells a fictional story about the region and events through rides.
Troll Kingdom
A region standing at the South of Memetopia, ruled by King Trollican, the mad. The Royal family includes his 2 daughters. Princesses Herpina & Herpette with 4 hounds called Airmelon, Watermelon ,Firemelon and Airmelon.
King Trollican has a reputation for his attempted invasion over The Cat Nomads long time ago. Still The Cat Nomads and Troll Kingdom are still in rough terms. King Trollican hosts many Science Fairs for his love for rockets and junk.
“The Royal Sewers” and “The Royal (unfinished) Giant Catapult tells a story of the current ruler of Troll Kingdom, King Trollican previously usurping the throne from his brother, Seereal (pun of the word “cereal”). Also King Trollican’s Queen had an accident with The Royal Giant Catapult. Queen Blondella’s corpse and a live crippled ex-King Seereal lie deep in the caves of the filthy royal sewers. “Unfinished” was added to full name of the “Royal Giant Catapult” to inflict some fear into riders that they might suffer the same fate as the queen. There is a drinks shop called “Rage Mage Potions” which is ran by a mad alchemist where his trademark potions called “Liquid Viagra” and a sweet mixture called “Diabetes in a bottle” will give the customers a good laugh or a churn in their stomachs. Also there are mystery potions where its flavor will only be found out by the drinker. Inside the palace is the Royal Dining Hall, where it’s an all-you-can-pig-on buffet, Princess Herpina’s room of delicious sweets and a throne room where The Mad King, his two daughters and their hounds await a photo opportunity.
Shops give an inside-depth of certain characters related to the history of the region, Princess Herpina’s Colossal Sweets Collection explains the older Princess’ huge sweet tooth and Derp’s is run by a once-loyal spy to the King.
The Cat Nomads:
Nomadic cats that sought out for peace and shit.
The 3D stimulation-Indoor-ride “History 699: History of The Cat Nomads” from The Cat Nomads tells a story deep in history of how General Trollican once invaded The Cat Nomads many years ago, only to be defeated by Elder Cate after suffering a crushing concussion which probably explains his current madness. The ride includes fog, noises, moving figures and 3D that will make the fight scenes and Elder Cate’s magic more exciting. In Memetopia, there are are dueling roller coasters that explain the still-ongoing feud between rivalling internet memes. One dueling coaster, “Nyan Cat vs Waffle Cat: The Battle Of Breakfast” explains the daily struggles of almost everyone when it comes to deciding whether a poptart or waffle is suitable for breakfast. Whereas “Google Chrome vs Internet Explorer: OS Showdown” explains the feuding Operating Systems these past years, with Google Chrome outspeeding Internet Explorer thus the “Internet Explorer cart” consists of loops, cobra rolls, corkscrews, etc. while the “Google Chrome track” focuses more on speed, There will be times where the two carts will have near-miss collisions to add up the thrill.
With most of the rides being intense and fast paced, along with some of the memes being rated for mature audience. The target audience is mainly teenagers and young adults, from 13 years and above. These people are those who often surf the net.

I do not have a write up for Internellica for some reason? I think 14 year old thought that Internellica does not have a relevant backstory to begin with? I am 21 now, so I do not know.
PS. It took massive courage for me to post this. But I love you guys, so please be nice xD

I love the whole Cat based kingdom especially, you know I could see someone actually making a feline based park.

That was brilliant to read. I only cringed at the comment 10 years ago and 14 year old me.
Gosh I remember being in my 2nd year of University and dial up had only recently been discovered and only allowed in businesses and institutions (no home internet - that came when I was in my final year about 1997) UK was very very slow in embracing internet. We were still checking books out of the short and long term library.
I now realise how much older I am than most of you on here ....

Oh man, checking books would be a nightmare for me. I realise that the librarians in my campus barely shelf books, they are mostly dealing with online admin things! It was a great insight to read about your experience. I have to admit that University students have it very easy now.
