New Wand

The wand is the tool of the magickal will. It's purpose is to move and control energy. It will work quite well without embellishments, but I wanted to add the energy of crystal and color magick to it. I worked on this one for a while, then had to set it aside. I am glad I did, since I bought a sunstone to place in it, and it turned out to be such poor quality, that I am glad I did not get to it! It literally fell apart! So far I have drilled niches and placed the two largest stones; A flawless brilliant red Zircon, and a lovely irregular Ocean Jasper. today I plan to place 2-3 more stones. they are very small, but flawless and natural stones. I have Black Onyx, Carnelian, Moonstone, Lapis lazuli, a perfect pink Star Ruby, Turquoise, Emerald, Morganite, Yellow Topaz, and finally a lab created Alexandrite. I usually prefer not to use a lab created gem, because I want the Earth Mother connection, but in this case, natural pleiochromic (color changing) Alexandite is hundreds of dollars for a CHIP of it. The wood is Irish Bog Oak with a core of Giant Redwood. Let me just say that Bog Oak can be a PAIN to carve! I think I wore out my diamond tip on my Dremel making this wand, and I am not even half way done! The Energy of my Wolf Sara seems to be kicking my butt into high gear, and I am getting to projects that have laid on my altar for months! I am back to hand spinning yarn, too, and I plan to use a small length of Wolf or Bear yarn to attach the royal purple silk tassel. I can't wait to bless it and use it! :cooldevil:

In case you were wondering I purposely did not line up or measure the spaces between gems....I wanted a chaos pattern. :witch2:
