Just had to share this amazing piece of cinema reimagined. From an old silent picture made in 1922, it has been remastered and scored and re-released on YouTube for public consumption. It's a travesty that it's been up since Halloween and only had 72 views.

This is why the Mantis Shrimp is my new favorite animal,
because in the presence of such extraordinary light and beauty it embraces

DARKNESS,
It extols DEATH with the luminescent brilliance of a
DYING STAR

. . . The Mantis Shrimp is the harbinger of blood-soaked rainbows

Well, dang. That's what I get for not previewing it first. Didn't know the owner had disabled embedding on other sites. Please take a chance and click anyway. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem of Art-Culture-Music. Though I have to admit, I'm tempted to mute the second chapter because of the music score selection.

Thank you for sharing this Guess.
I remember reading the opening quote from Jong’s book …. It gave me shivers then and I've lived to see it proved true.

"The witch is not dead; she is merely hibernating.
And witch-hunting itself is hardly dead: it is merely waiting to be born again under a different name.
"
-Erica Jong. Witches
"Good morning. I see the assassins have failed….”

”In the end it doesn't matter who or what you are - only that you've been embraced by all that you've become ... "

What an awesome surprise to see my native language, Swedish, featured here! I will have to make time to watch Häxen with my companions, thank you for sharing your find!
And I could swear, that the ocean sings, and the mountains talk to me
