This is one of Moms home brews that doesn't taste too bad, though it can have an odd texture. It is good for helping with coughs and other problems surrounding the lungs.
Here’s the recipe:
1) Put 60g of flax seed in a small tissue bag and tie it well, leaving some room for the flax-seed to swell. (If you don’t have tissue you can use an old handkerchief).
2) Boil it in 1L of water, until the solution gets down to ½L.
3) Squeeze the bag very well and dispose it.
4) Wait until the liquid reaches the body temperature and add 200g of honey and the juice of 2 big lemons.
5) Stir very well.
6) Take 5 spoons every morning and 5 spoons every evening.
Do NOT drink it; swallow it spoon by spoon. The liquid is tasty and you might be tempted to drink it, but it has to flow down slowly when you swallow it.
Note*** Keep it in the fridge, as it might ferment.
Note*** Stir it very well before taking.
t is magic in all kinds of respiratory issues. For a simple flu or cold one portion of flax seed solution according to the recipe should be enough. 2 Potions seems to do the trick with pneumonia.
